CLAREMONT - The school bus doesn't pick up Jenn and Joe Gustafson's kids at their rural Claremont home anymore for the same reason the family's mail is no longer delivered: the water flooding their township road.
The Claremont area has received at least 13 inches of rain since Labor Day, Joe Gustafson said. One area farmer measured 16 inches from Sept. 1 to mid-October, said Brown County Highway Superintendent Jan Weismantel.
