ABERDEEN: Hellwig no longer an investor in beef plant

An Aberdeen man who wanted to start a beef processing plant on the south side of town is no longer involved in the management team.
Records filed with the South Dakota Secretary of State's Office show Oshik Song as the general partner for Northern Beef Packers. Dennis Hellwig, the former owner of Hub City Livestock Auction, was a the former largest investor and plant's prime spokesman.
David Palmer, the president and chief executive officer of Northern Beef Packers, referenced the documents filed with the state, but said he wished not to comment until financial and scheduling details are finalized.
